How to Use SkyRemit to Send RMB Salary Home

 

 

 

STEP 1: Sign up

 

 

STEP 2: Verify Identity

 

 

For compliance purposes, before you start, please prepare the following documents for verification:

 

• Passport + Work Residence Permit/ Visa/ Permanent Residential Permit;
• Or Hong Kong/Macao/Taiwan Travel Permit
• And taxed income proof

 

After you have gathered all the necessary materials, let's begin the verification process!

 

1. Click 'Verify Now' in the upper right corner to start account verification.
2. Follow the instructions and fill in the blanks. 
3. Upload your identity documents and click 'Next' to verify qualifications.

STEP 3: Verify Qualification

 

1. Upload your tax records.
2. Click 'Next' to finish the verification.

STEP 4: Verification Finished

 

The info filling and uploading have been completed. Check the verify status after 2-3 business days.

 

STEP 5: Create an Order

 

1. Enter the amount of RMB you want to send and select the currency. 
2. Click 'Get Start', and add your overseas account information.

 

* You can only transfer funds to your own overseas account. Any change to the recipient's name will prompt a review process, which is expected to be completed within one business day.

 

* For 'recipient‘s address', you can put in either your overseas house address or the bank's address.

 

 

 

STEP 6: Transfer to Safeguarding Account

 

 

Option 1: Transfer via bank app 

 

1. Copy your safeguarding account details and open your Chinese bank app to initiate the transfer manually.

 

2. Click ‘I’ve Transferred’ to see current status.

PS: You can also go to the bank counter to transfer.

 

 

Option 2: Transfer via WeChat/Alipay

 

Click 'Transfer via WeChat' or ‘Transfer via Alipay’ , it will guide you to complete the transfer.

STEP 7: Confirm the rate

 

1. After the funds arrive, please enter SkyRemit and find the order in ‘Transaction--Processing’. 

② Choose the order you made and confirm the rate. 

*If the rate's not favourable, you can wait and confirm the rate whenever you like.

STEP 8: Receive Overseas

 

1. After the rate confirmation, the funds will typically arrive in 24-48 hours, the exact arrival depends on the processing speed of your beneficiary bank.
2. Once the funds have been sent out successfully, you can find the order in ‘Transaction--Completed’ and download the receipt in PDF format.
