How Can I Use SkyRemit When I'm Not in China?
There are some of the international schools have started the summer holiday. So there are concerns about 'Will I be able to use SkyRemit when I am overseas?', don't worry, the answer is yes.

Q1. SkyRemit can't be opened/loads very slowly when abroad?
A: Use a VPN to access servers of Hong Kong China, China's mainland, or any nearby country and it will be fixed.
Q2. Worried about not receiving the SMS verification code?
Just make sure your SIM card activates the international roaming service, below are the methods of activating the roaming service for the three telecom operators:
*Must be activated before the trip.
- China Unicom
Send "KTGJMY" to 10010 to activate; send "GBGJMY" to 10010 to deactivate.
(No activation fee is charged, calls and internet usage will be charged, receiving SMS is free.)
- China Mobile
Send "GMKT" to 10086 to activate.
(No activation fee is charged, calls and internet usage will be charged, receiving SMS is free.)
- China Telecom
Send "KTGJMY1" to 10001 to activate.
(No activation fee is charged, calls and internet usage will be charged, receiving SMS is free.)
If you don't want to activate the roaming service, there are other options:
- For SkyRemit's sign-in code: add your email to SkyRemit or log in via WeChat;
- For bank transfer's secure code: apply a USB key at your Chinese bank counter to receive codes for verification whenever you want to transfer.
Q3. Can I use WeChat and Alipay when I am not in China?
A: Yes, sometimes even if you are not in China they can work normally. If they don't work, consider trying one or more of the following methods:
- Using a VPN, specifically with the China‘s Mainland/Hong Kong node selected.
- Change your phone's timezone to the China timezone.
- Activate the roaming service on your Chinese SIM card before leaving China.
